All referees - have you recertified for 2018 yet? If not, please read the following:
Recertification deadline June 1st (soft deadline); hard deadline is June 15th. That means modules completed for both attendance and training, paid, test taken not that you've just registered for recertification. This means for all those youth officials as well who have not recertified yet and will not begin thinking about recertification until fall season begins. USSF did not allow us to register late last year (as they had in years past). So if not registered by June 15th, please do not count on officiating this fall 2018 season. Recertification for 2019 will open sometime in August/September/October but recertifying during this time means beginning officiating on January 1st, 2019,and NOT this fall season!

All, remember: if you need to cross the Narrows Bridge to officiate games for the Gig Harbor or West Narrows clubs, you will be reimbursed for the toll costs. Also both clubs participate in the bonus system that pays additional fees if you are the center referee on a match that isn't completely staffed (one or zero ARs).

Status of RMA clearances

We have received the following statement from Washington Youth Soccer regarding RMA clearances: Effective immediately USSF registered referees, assignors, assessors, instructors and referee administrative staff who are in good standing with the Washington State Referee Committee (SRC) are no longer required to have current Washington Youth Soccer (WYS) Risk Management Application (RMA) clearance.

This requirement changed as soon as the SRC could show 100% control over who can be registered as a referee which includes passing both the SRCs and the USSF Legal Department's RMA program.
