<item><title>Rainier Challenge</title>

&lt;br /&gt;
Girls Schedule is up on the site.  Boys schedule will be uploaded Friday night.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Games begin Friday August 6 at 11:00am.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You will be able to sign up for four games per day (initially) with no more than 2 centers per day - with a break between 2nd and 3rd games. (you can't have more than two consecutive games).  These games are ranked higher than most games.  You can request games via Envelope but you cannot request more than 4 games per day.  If you request more than 4 per day - I'll ignore them.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Some upper division playoff games will NOT be selfassigned!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
NOTE:  As always, I reserve the right to make any and all changes I feel necesary for the good of the game. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

As a reminder: The Rainier Challenge is a very competitive premier-level tournament.  Only experienced referees will be allowed assignments.  This is NOT a tournament for new, first-year, 'novice' referees.&lt;br /&gt;

<item><title>Rainier Challenge Fields</title>

<description>RAINIER CHALLENGE FIELD LAYOUT&lt;br /&gt;

Click on the URL below to see a .pdf file for the field layout used for the Rainier Challenge.  The Referee HQ Tent will be just about where the compass rose is.  Referee Parking (no charge) yet to be defined but will be nearby (short walk).  WPFC does charge others for parking..&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On the North Side of the complex:&lt;br /&gt;
Fields 1 &amp;amp; 2 are adjacent to River Road and will be used for U11.  Field 12 is by Riverside Elementary and will also be used for U11.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Fields 3(turf) &amp;amp; 4 are for U12-U17&lt;br /&gt;
Fields 5 &amp;amp; 6 are for U12 and U13&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On the South Side of the complex:&lt;br /&gt;
Fields 7, 8, 9, 10, &amp;amp; 11 are basically U12 to U17&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sparks Stadium (Puyallup HS) will be used for U17 on Saturday which is about 4mi (9min) from WPFC Fields&lt;br /&gt;

One last opportunity to obtain training hours and recertify for 2010. Linda Velie-national instructor and the top young referees set on national paths will present a five hour training clinic on Saturday, March 27th from 9-4pm, location will be at Curtis High SChool (4025 40th Street West, University Place 98466) Testing and registration will follow the clinic. The cost is $20.00 to attend to include a pizza/pop lunch. If you test/register, please bring a check for your 2010 badge for $55.00, payable to WRDA.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Even if you have already recertified for 2010; please take advantage-especially if you are a youth official to attend this type of clinic. Then you will have all your training hours done for 2011!&lt;br /&gt;

Training topic-gree kick management dvd; discussion &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There will NOT Be any testing/registration done at this trainning meeting. If referees were not registered by 12-31-09 then there are not currently any matches for them to officiate. Instead there will be one last training and recertification clinic held on March 27th, location at Curtis HS. There be 5 hour training followed by testing, registration. There will be a national instructor, Linda Velie, as well as some of Washington's finest national referee candidate who are also instructors to instruct this clinic. More details to follow.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
February checks will be distributed at the end of the meeting to those in attendence. If somebody other than the referee him/her self being paid is picking up your check, please contact Dave Painton by email telling him to whom the check should be released. Otherwise the check will be mailed to you at the end of the month.&lt;br /&gt;
